Decals are a specialized type of sticker that is typically more durable and designed for longer-term outdoor use, whilst stickers and labels are more suited for shorter-term, indoor applications. Decals are far more robust than stickers/labels, and are much harder to remove, thus lasting longer.
Stickers and Labels only have 1 backing layer (peel & stick), whereas decals have a 2-part process to apply (transfer backing layer and top/transfer layer). Decals are ideal for irregular shaped designs, such as individually cut shapes, letters and numbers, as the top/transfer layer holds all elements in place during application.
Not reusable or repositionable. Designed and manufactured for permanent applications, though removal is possible. Adhesive strengthens with time after application.
